SBWWI AGM Lunch and Awards
SBWWI celebrated its 21st Anniversary at its annual AGM and Lunch on Wednesday 7 November. This years'; luncheon, addressed by Sue Cox, Head of Service & Performance, Ofwat, saw the introduction of two SBWWI industry Awards, covering People and Innovation. "The SBWWI Management Committee felt that members'; achievements should be more widely recognised across the industry, and the introduction of these two awards were considered the best way to achieve this" commented Ray Doughty "we were delighted with the high calibre of entries received, and the final decisions were tough ones to reach".The winner of the People category, RPS Water for ';The Leakage Partnership'; had to demonstrate to the judges how its company highlighted investment in people by providing an integrated benefit strategy that operated for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders. Under the Innovation category, which received the highest amount of entries, the winner, Fusion Provida for ';Pipeliner';, had to demonstrate how innovation had helped to deliver real benefits to both its'; clients and its'; own company targets and provide evidence that the technology/technique met or exceeded original expectations.
